About Dr Wong

Dr Vivien Wong is a certified and experienced urogynaecologist specialising in the management of women with pelvic floor disorders including prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder pain, urinary tract infections, and maternal pelvic floor trauma.

Based on the Gold Coast, Dr Wong has extensive experience in the use of pelvic floor ultrasound to assess women with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, complex post-surgical repair symptoms, pelvic mesh related complications and bowel dysfunction.

Dr Wong attained her medical degree from the University of Auckland and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in New Zealand. She furthered her training in the area of Urogynaecology in Australia.

She has lectured at international and national workshops on pelvic floor ultrasound. Additionally, Dr Wong has also published widely in this area of Urogynaecology and has completed her PhD in prolapse management. She is a reviewer of multiple international Urogynaecology journals and is a conjoint Associate Professor at Bond University. She is actively involved in medical student education and supervises the training of O&G registrars, as well as Urogynaecology sub-specialty trainees.

In addition to private practice at Pindara Hospital, Dr Wong consults as a visiting medical officer at Robina Hospital and Varsity Lakes Day Hospital. Dr Wong also provides pelvic floor ultrasound assessments in her rooms at Sunnybank, Brisbane.

Dr Wong is conversant in Mandarin and Cantonese.  


Every year, Dr Vivien Wong volunteers in training workshops and outreach programs in various locations around the world to share her knowledge on pelvic floor disorders with local clinicians.
